Trend - Pretty Summer Styling
Lace is rife with preconceptions. In the wrong hands, it can look tacky, cheap or, sometimes, just too sexy to be appropriate (Madonna, below!) Valerie Tolosa's romantic Spring/Summer collection, however, is expertly c
rafted, floaty and feminine.
Her lace dresses in delicate creams contrast with black collars and slim double belts - an appropriation of Winter's tuxedo trends (above right). Lace detailing adorns light dresses and tops, teamed with another seasonal must have - florals.
Tolosa's Summer pieces are also decorated with petite florals, working in well with her ethereal collection. We're very fond of painterly florals- Fleur Wood's skirts and tops in vibrant hues rival anything in nature and are perfect for warm nights (below).
With floral prints blossoming everywhere and lace making a romantic turn; it's shaping up to be the prettiest season.
